Bachelors of Science in elementary education from Northern Illinois University. I am a licensed teacher in elementary and middle schools, with an emphasis on mathematics.
Experience
I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math classes for 7 years in Illinois and Indiana. I now stay home with my four young children. Tutoring is a perfect situation for me because it allows me to stay home with my own kids, while still working with and helping other children explore and learn new skills. I love helping guide students on their path of understanding new topics. I feel it is the job of a tutor to identify specific areas that need improvement, and work with each individual student to determine which methods will work best to understand those topics. I have experience demonstrating the same content many different ways.
