Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology (pre-medical track) at the University of Illinois. Prior to college, I attended and graduated from the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. As an undergraduate, I worked as a mentor for my peers and provided both informal academic advising and formal tutoring. Although I tutor in an wide assortment of subjects, I have the most passion for Writing and Biology. In addition to tutoring in academic subjects, I have experience in helping students prepare for their standardized tests, including the ACT, PSAT (I was a national merit finalist), and SAT. I enjoy making the experience of preparing for these exams the best it can be for students. I value of importance peer tutoring and a strong education. My role as a tutor is to help inspire students critical thinking, challenge students to increase their learning, and to help students achieve their academic goals. My interests away from education are art, blogging, crocheting, literature, painting, and indulging in Netflix.
